INOVUES Receives Contract for Project in Seattle After Successful Demo

Houston, TX – July 21, 2020 – INOVUES, an award-winning window technology company focused on building upgrades and energy efficiency retrofits, announced today that it has received a contract for a project in the Seattle metro area, entering a major market in the U.S. for building efficiency and sustainability.

In Q3 2020, INOVUES will install its non-intrusive glazing retrofit system on all single-pane windows at the Northview Center in Lynwood, Washington — a 182,000 square feet Class-A office building built in 1991. This project comes after the successful completion of Phase 1 where selected windows were retrofitted with INOVUES exterior Glazing Shields as an on-building demo, turning them into double-pane windows with triple the insulation without removing, replacing, drilling, or altering anything at all.

INOVUES completed Phase 1 on time on May 28, despite the coronavirus outbreak, and received instant positive feedback from the building owner, the property manager, and the tenant. A week later, the client decided not to wait until the end of the 3-month Phase 1 period and requested to proceed with Phase 2.

The installation was done from the exterior without accessing the interior spaces, thereby eliminating any disruption to the tenant’s business or any safety issues for the occupants. The tenants were excited in anticipation of now feeling comfortable in the space, which they said was too hot in the summer and too cold in the winter. Also, the building owner was pleased with the frameless look of the INOVUES system and how the retrofit is inconspicuous, fulfilling their desire to preserve the original appearance of the building.

INOVUES' cost-effective and non-disruptive solution enabled the building owner to upgrade the windows to improve occupant comfort, reduce energy consumption, and extend the life of the existing window systems. Replacing the windows was a cost-prohibitive option because it would require vacating the perimeter areas and removing the entire window/curtain-wall system as it cannot accommodate double-pane insulating glass, like most buildings with single-pane windows. INOVUES was able to provide the same benefits of window replacement at a fraction of the cost and the time required and without disrupting building operations or occupants.
