Houston, TX – February 16, 2021 – INOVUES, an award-winning window technology company focused on commercial building upgrades and energy efficiency retrofits, announced that former CBRE Global Managing Director - Energy & Sustainability, Pete Scarpelli, has joined INOVUES advisory board.
Mr. Scarpelli will help guide INOVUES’ leadership on the path toward commercializing the company’s patented Glazing Shield™ technology and achieving mass-market adoption in the United States.
“Pete’s extensive experience in the commercial real estate industry driving energy efficiency and sustainable operating practices at Fortune 500 and multi-tenant buildings will greatly benefit INOVUES as we continue to grow our client base.” said INOVUES Founder and CEO Anas Al Kassas.
“INOVUES has developed a new category for the window industry. Traditional window retrofits tend to be economically prohibitive, but INOVUES' solution allows buildings to obtain energy efficiency and carbon reduction with an economic payback that will be attractive to most building owners.“ Scarpelli said.
Scarpelli is Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Global Sustainable Future (GSF) whose mission is to bridge the gap to commercialization for sustainable companies by leveraging networks with real world operational partners and investors. Previously, Scarpelli served as a Built Environment Co-Chair and Operating Advisor at Pegasus Capital Advisors, a $2B+ private equity firm that provides growth capital to mid-market companies focused on energy, waste, food, water, and health & wellness.
Prior to joining Pegasus, Scarpelli served as CBRE’s Global Managing Director, Energy & Sustainability where he led a 250+ international team to implement portfolio-wide efficiency and sustainable operating practices for large commercial real estate owners. Previously, Pete joined Schneider Electric in 2008 when they acquired RETX, a firm he co-founded in 2000. At Schneider & RETX, Pete helped develop smart grid and demand response opportunities in the US and global markets.
INOVUES developed, tested, and successfully deployed a patented insulating-glass retrofit technology that enables the windows in existing buildings to be upgraded to today's energy code requirements and incorporate the latest energy-saving and smart glass products without removing, replacing, drilling, or altering anything at all and at a fraction of the cost of window replacement, providing building owners up to 10 times faster payback periods and up to 400% ROI.
