Inovues to Install Its Glazing Shield™ System at Saint-Gobain's Research Center in Massachusetts

Houston, TX – October 3, 2019 – Inovues, an award-winning window technology company focused on building upgrades and energy efficiency retrofits, announce a pilot project with Saint-Gobain North America. Saint-Gobain, one of the world's largest building materials companies and manufacturer of innovative material solutions, will have Inovues Glazing Shields installed at their North America Research Center in Greater Boston. Inovues will upgrade the windows for multiple conference rooms with its non-intrusive, exterior Glazing Shield™ system without removing, replacing, drilling, or altering any part of the building, allowing the installation to be performed while the rooms are occupied without any disruption to the meetings scheduled. Inovues' patented technology, which uses the existing windows as part of the solution, can provide very similar performance results to new replacement windows but with ~70% fewer materials and for a fraction of the cost and time it takes to remove and replace the original window systems. The installation also results in no construction-related waste that needs to be shipped to landfills, which makes it more cost-effective and environmentally friendly. Inovues glazing retrofit system provides a platform for the latest high-performance window glass products and has the potential to be the basis for rapid adoption of advanced/smart windows in existing buildings. In the US, buildings account for about 40% of all energy consumption and carbon emissions. Over 50% of them are estimated to have inefficient windows responsible for up to 40% of building energy loss according to the Department of Energy (DOE). However, replacing the windows is often not a feasible option due to the associated high costs, building disruption, and long payback period. Inovues Glazing Shields, which can be securely mounted on the original glass from the interior or exterior, can increase window insulation by up to 10 times and reduce energy consumption by up to 40% for a fraction of the cost of window replacement and with no downtime or disruption to the building or occupants, providing up to 10 times faster payback and up to 400% return on investment. Inovues’ solution can also improve the occupants' thermal and acoustic comfort significantly and enhance the image and sustainability of the building without altering its architectural identity. Inovues is proud to play a part in Saint-Gobain’s commitment to bring new and differentiated solutions to the marketplace that promote global sustainability and contribute to solving the issues of building efficiency and occupant comfort and wellbeing. Saint-Gobain, which has been recognized for the eighth consecutive year as one of the Top 100 Global Innovators, has 8 research centers located throughout the world supported by 3,700 R&D employees with nearly 900 R&D projects in progress. Inovues is honored to have Saint-Gobain's building scientists and engineers observe the installation process and monitor the performance of the windows over time. About Saint-Gobain Saint-Gobain, one of the world’s largest building materials companies and manufacturer of innovative material solutions, helps create great living spaces by combining comfort and sustainability.
